Only 8 bit but for converting MIDI controllers into CV even 7 bit would be
sufficient. Most MIDI controllers are only 7 bit (MSB only), very few
devices use the high res with a second controller for the LSB. So more than
7 bit are (normally) not required for MIDI CC -> CV.
