Hi all, I'm new around here, and just acquired an A100 from the local dealer to check out. I'm [relatively] new to the field modular synthesis (well, aside from Reaktor & friends which I did have some success with), and have a few simple questions to help me in my decision to take this beast on. ;) Could anyone comment on the possible original usage of the following modules? I know its modular, and the implications of such, but does this look like a typical dual VCO synth, or more like an odd external processing solution? (the amount of CV based modules confuses purpose to an extend, maybe I need to mess about some more) The modules are as follows: (Two rows, starting left to right, top to bottom) A113 Subharmonic Osc A135 Voltage Control Mixer A144 Morphing Controller A114 Ring Modulator A103 18db Low Pass Filter A142 VC Decay/Gate A140 ADSR A190 Midi-Cv-Gate-Sync A185 Bus Access Module A132 Dual Low Cost VCA A156 Dual Quantizer A126 Frequency Shifter A111 High End VCO A111 High End VCO A180 Multiples A145 LFO Modulation Generator A131 VCA Logarithmisch They're looking for £900. Seem a reasonable second hand price? Whilst the A100 looks like it will do the job, it only came with a minimal amount of patch leads. I need to get this tested ASAP in case I wish to return, so wheres a good place to get patch leads in the UK? Standard 3.5mm mono jacks will do OK? Many thanks in advance for any answers, if I take this on, i'll be reading the posts here franticly I think ;) Cheers James.
