Doepfer

at the 200e event last week, i asked don how he felt about smaller designers who copy his 
designs (i didn't name names). he responded, "well, imitation *is* the sincerest form of 
flattery". i applauded his view, but still being suprised, i asked, "so you really don't 
mind?" to which he replied, "no, not at all".

soooo.... i think that if the modular community wants to do things like a 259 update, we 
shouldn't be afraid to contact don and ask for his blessing. he'd probably be flattered.
