hello, << E.g. a 4x4 matrix mixer is nothing but 16 potentiometers mounted to a front panel and wired as a matrix. The electronics is nothing but a few low cost operational amplifiers. >> It could work...and it would be another unique module to support the Doepfer line. I question if 4x4 is enough though. I like the idea of individual function modules and only buying what you need...i.e. the different A-149 series instead of one big module, this also makes them infinitely expandable...but in this case two 4x4s instead of one 8x8 would lose functionality unless there was some way to link the former. Oh- but duh, that was just an example. Perhaps an updated pole Bakis? > If there are sufficient orders we could develop such > a module (but the term "develop" is bit exaggerated > in this connection). I'd like to see what the list thinks, I could certainly commit to a certain quantity for the USA's first shipment. > The price for a 4x4 matrix mixer would be in the > range of about three A-138 mixers. That doesn't seem unreasonable, to have just one or two, for curiosity's sake. I understand that cost could change depending on the specs. I would prefer at least 8x8 unless they could be linked, then 4x4 would be sufficient.
