Hi > any ideas for future forthcoming a100 modules? 1.) transform/diode-based ring modulator 2.) Still I am for a more modular concept for a sequencer: Clock-modul, Trigger/Gate-Seq module with gate-length options (quarter-Step, half-Step, three-quarte step, legato), CV-Seq-Module. It would be *very* cool, if those sequencer-submodules would be programmable. 3.) Drum modules, whichs sound is dependending from the trigger signals amplitude; they could be used directly from usual drumpads. In addition a MIDI/CV-Interface that gives the velocity as Voltagelevel of the trigger. 4.) A Masterclock-Modul with "swing"-function. It should provide MIDI-Clock-In/Out, DIN-Sync in/out, several Trigger in/outs. The swing function should give several "swing"-algorithms like the 16A - 16F in the Quantize function of emagic/apple's "Logic". The swing could be applied to the sync and the trigger outs. Best would be to assign different swing factors to different outputs. (I tried that already in a Logic-song by generating a sync signal via 96 short notes for the clock and one long note for the start/stop. Those MIDI-notes were fed to the MIDI/CV-Interface, and the resulting gates were given to the appropriate pins of the DIN-jack. Guys: a swinging TR-808 is unbelievable good!) 5.) I could imagine a luxury-version of the A-100: double sized frontpanels, large knobs, 6,3mm jacks (or bananas). But perhaps this would be a better job for someone, who cooperates with Doepfer and offers this luxury version as a modification.
