this is one way to get percussive sounds that go from muddy to bright
with dynamic drum pads

plug the drum pad directly to the A119 and adjust the gain so with a
light tap the envelope out LED is dim and with a hard hit the env out
& gain out are bright

A119 'env out' opens VCA & VCF

A119 'gate out' triggers an ADSR to further open VCF or VCF & VCA   

you could use the A119 'env out' to modulate VCO pitch for simmons
style drum sounds
