Eventually, you will indeed want them both ...

If I were to set a priority (in retrospect), I would get the A-101-1 
first.
I find the control range of the volume input pots more practical for 
my taste of sounds.

( I have just ordered my 2nd A-101-1 and my 3rd A-106-1, so it's all 
relative ).
