I was just looking at the prelim page for the A-1?? Dual balanced VCF 

Noticed that it is planned as a 24/24db hp/lp design.

Although I am really interested in the features of this filter, I 
myself find generally find 12 db filters to be more to my own taste, 
especially for hpf.
Was there a technical reason to choose for 24 db in this case ?

What is the list's opinion on this ?
