The new version of the A-151 (thank's to Peter Grenader for this suggestion) is able to limit the number of steps to 2, 3 or 4. For the old version a modification is possible but need some DIY experience (drilling a hole for the additional switch, soldering some diodes ...). As far as I remember Peter described the required modifications in a message a few months ago. The outputs X2 and X3 (pins 15 and 11) of the CD4052 have to be connected to the terminals of a 3-position switch. The center terminal of the switch has to be connected to the reset input via a standard diode(e.g. 1N4148). The diode is used to "OR" the internal reset to the external reset input.
