Sorry if i'm either stating the obvious or misunderstanding you, but the A-149 does way more than switch between 3 states. The first section, Quantised random voltages, outputs n+1 and 2 to the power of n states, n being voltage controllable. This means that i.e. for n = 4 you'll get 5 different states at the n+1 and 16 different states at the 2^n output. n+1 output is quantised to increments of one volt, the 2^n to 1/12 volt. The stored random voltages section ouputs 256 different states on two outputs, one with all 256 states equally probable, one with a weighted probability distribution...with voltage control of the weighting. Although i've not used a Noisering yet, the description on the Wiard site outlines a rather different behaviour....so i guess you'll want them both (which is in full agreement with all other statements so far ;) ) cheers denis [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
