A-178 Theremin

Im using the A-178 to control the pitch of a analogue systems RS90VCO, 
and the A-178's offset wont go any further than to 5(12 o'clock), 
after that it stops feeding CV...does my A-178 need some trimming or 
is it optimised for Doepfer VCO's?
