Hi. If you´ve been logged off for a while and happen to see this message, please don´t pass it by just because it´s some weeks old, every comment that I received so far has led to important adjustments in my sys-planning! Right now I would be very happy for some advice regarding the choice of filters! For example, anyone could say something about choosing A108-filter or A121 Multimode fltr??? Also very uncertain about choosing A124-Wasp filter or A106-1Extreme filter.(?) Thank you very much Ingo for yr help. I removed one of the a134 VC- panning and added an a175 inverter as you suggested. One thing that I did NOT do, as you will see, is to add another LFO. This is because of my intentions of using ONE "master tempo" generated from a single lfo, and then reproduce (using multiples) different versions of it with the clock dividers, (please tell me if this isn´t realistic!). Then I aim to "mix" these different versions to generate a sum - internally synced - lfo, then send this to VCA, VC-panning and VCF. For this I would obviously have a lot help from the future model "a143-4" which still is at development stage. (no release date planned so far, D Doepfer replied this morning; after I had expressed my wishes to him in an e-mail yesterday...) Anyway. My own logic tells me I can do these things in other ways, and if someone has the opposite experience, please shout out to me very loud!!! I didn´t completely understand yr solutions that should make the second (now removed) a134 unnecessary, but of course I´m willing to believe you... Well, my intention with it was to use one of them as a regular panning mod, and the other to experiment with, for instance, shifting between to filters... Ok. Here comes the, since yesterday, updated list: >A110 Oscillator10TE > > > >A106-1 Extreme filter/// A106-1 Extreme Filter/// A108 LP/BP filter > >A121 Multimode filter/// A107 Morphing Filter/// A107 Morhing filter > >A124 Wasp filter/// (A124 Wasp fltr)/// (A 106-1 Extreme fltr) > > > >A131 VCA 8TE > >A131 VCA 8TE > >A132 Dual VCA > >A132 Dual VCA > >A134 VC Panning 8TE > >A136 Distortion Waveshaper 8TE > >A135 VC mixer A138A Mixer 8TE (linear) > >A138c polarizing mixer (could this module replace the one above? or do you think I will find use for both?) > >A145 LFO 8TE > >A143-2 Quad ADSR > >A160 Clock divider > >A161 Clock sequencer > >A163 VC clock divider A175 dual voltage inverter > >A180 Multiple 4TE > >A180 Multiple 4TE > >A190 Midi-CV10TE > > 1xBlind plate 2TE >From: "selfoscillate" <synaptic_music@yahoo.com> >Reply-To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com >To: Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com >Subject: [Doepfer_a100] Re: new memb, planning issues >Date: Thu, 12 May 2005 07:23:12 -0000 > > >hello martin, > >i'd throw in another vco and another lfo. >or exchange the a145 lfo with an a143/3 quad lfo, >if you don't need the sine out and retrigger input >of the a145. > >two a134 and an a135? seems to be quite unusual >for a starter system. > >another module which i use a lot is the a175 inverter, >especially because the a143/2 has no inverted outs. >this will maybe make the second a134 obsolete, because >you can reproduce a lot of the functionality of the a134 >with the a135 or an a132 then. > >please also note that the a134 can only process audio signals >just like the a135. cv-processing is not possible with >a134 and a135. > >best wishes > >ingo
