Doepfer

Got an A-127 triple filter last week and installed it in a spare slot 
on my Asys RS15 case.
Last night my system shorted out and some Asys modules were fried.
I've been going back through it trying to figure out what happened and 
it appears the A-127 was the culprit.
The soldering points on the underside of the lowest circuit board on 
the A-127 are so close to the edge of the module that, when installed, 
they can touch the mounting rails on the case and short out the system. 
I was able to recreate this when re-installing modules... as soon as I 
screwed in the top mounting screws for the A-127, it pushed the lower 
circuit board up against the mounting rail, the fuse blew,  and the 
power shorted out.
Not sure why the modules fried, but this is an issue I have sent to 
Asys since it was their case.
I have a Quad EG with a similar design (PC board parallel to rack rails 
and close to the edge of the module) but it's mounted in a homemade 
wooden case so I haven't had any similar shorting issues.
Does this happen on Doepfer cases too or are they designed differently 
from the RS15?
Either way, just wanted to give everyone a general heads up that the 
proximity of the PC board to the edge of the module means you should 
take extra caution when installing these modules in an Asys case.
