a glaring omission i for got to include to the post below is 
portamento with a voltage control input. 

plus have a look the 221 photo in the buchla folder in the files 
section. above the keys, there are a row of smaller touch squares. it 
would good to have a pot then three these squares on the left side 
then two longer squares of the same height modeled after the 217 
touch plates in the middle to react to position much like a ribbon 
controller and then three more little squares and a pot. why the 3 
squares and a pot ? the left 3squares and pot could be used for 
pitchbend. the pot controls the time for the pitchbend to reach its 
final voltage from 0ms to 10sec.now if you use a pull style pot, you 
could then adjust the level output voltage from 0 volts to 5 or 10 
volts. when you touch the left square it ramps downwards to the 
voltage and time set by the pot and maintains that voltage until you 
let go of the square touch plate. if you wish to glide back up to 0 
volts from the top you hold the right square down and touch the 
middle square of the 3 until you reach o volts. same goes for the 
square to the right of the middle square, except it ramps upwards to 
voltages set by the pot. kind of like the Arp Oddessey pitchbend pads 
but with added control by the pot. you could two pots if a 2-way push 
pull pot is not good in case of durability.

it would be great if this were available polyphonically to each voice.
sorry, it has to be available to the polyphnic outputs.
  
now you mirror the same on the other side of two long position square 
touch plates. the right side could used to bend the filter cut-off or 
any other voltage control input. this one is not attached to the 
keyboards cv/gate outputs you can use independently to any input.

 don't mention it, this is the straight-up bomb. boy, i would pay an 
extra 200euros to have this feature implemented. this feature added 
the unit would cause quite a stir. it would be more like i have to 
have this unit than maybe i'll think about it.  why? because it does 
not exist anywhere in the modular world. please mr.doepfer take good 
notice  at what these features would offer to the control of the 
A100. let's go guys and girls bring on those ideas and features.
