Perhaps any non-normalising filter (such as out1 of the vactrol filter) 
followed by right kind of distortion

Depending on the input sound, high resonance will *drip* at each harmonic 
when manipulating the cut-off point, resulting in pleasant "squelchs" when 
done in rapid succession
