Doepfer

The A-199 spring reverb module is 10 HP wide, but I can't see any reason why it couldn't be 
the standard 8 HP -- the electronics are less wide than that and there are no knobs or jacks 
on the right side of the faceplate.  I'm actually thinking about trying to trim the faceplate 
down to 8 HP in order to get more space (I could fit in an extra 4 HP module on that row if I 
did). 

Is this a stupid idea?  Does anyone have any experience doing this?
