here are some small examples for comparing
the a102 and rs500e.
the recording level was identical on all
examples to show the different output
characteristics of both filters.
also on all examples the cutoff was
modulated by the same triangle lfo.
the rs500e was switched to "24db" and
"fast cv" response.


1,
first you hear a sawtooth wave (a110) at the
filter input. no resonance.

now only the filter at full resonance, no audio input.
the resonance sounds really different.

finally a recording with the same sawtooth vco as in the
first example. the audio input knob was fully cw and
the resonance was set around the point where the filter
starts to oscillate.

as you can hear, the filters are far from sounding identical.
