Dave ,

    PSU2 is the way to go.  There is no problem with mounting.  You'll end 
up with extra power for future expansion and you're room will be a bit more 
quiet.  I've replaced most of the PSUs in my system.  I had a problem with 
considerable ambient hum, especially noticable when the A-100 was the only 
thing powered up in the room.  PSU2 runs totally silent so they are worth it 
for that alone.
