RE: g6 frame power supply replacement question

2005-11-19 by Robair, Gino

Hi Nick,
I'm contemplating the same thing: I have one suitcase with an old, humming ps and another with the new quiet one. What did you do with the old supplies? Auction them off?
How much time did it take to do the replacing?

Dave ,

PSU2 is the way to go. There is no problem with mounting. You'll end
up with extra power for future expansion and you're room will be a bit more
quiet. I've replaced most of the PSUs in my system. I had a problem with
considerable ambient hum, especially noticable when the A-100 was the only
thing powered up in the room. PSU2 runs totally silent so they are worth it
for that alone.
