Hi Florian Your suggestions immediately brought the A135 VC Mixer to my mind. Maybe if a couple of +/- offset pots were added to the A135, it would be the true "Swiss Army Knife" of modules. Because, as much as I use attenuators, four VCAs would be a really useful thing to have, plus you'd have the option for attenuation/offset and final mixing.
