Re: missing 4-strip ribbon cable between bus-boards

2006-02-28 by Tim Stinchcombe

Hi A1k,

That little cable doesn't come as 'standard' with a G6, as far as I
know: EMIS sell it as a 'bus link' cable for a few pounds. It's
purpose is to link the 'gate' and 'CV' buses between the upper and
lower busboards, so that if you have your A-190 plugged in either to
the top or bottom row, other modules, wherever they are (either top
or bottom), can 'see' these two signals. The link can either be
between the 'gate' and 'CV' jumpers between the two boards (the
jumpers are in the middle), or (as the EMIS cable does) it just plugs
into a spare power connector top and bottom. (It is quite easy to
make one up too.)
