Dear members, some "hidden" preliminary information has been added to our website (so far not available as links from other pages) A-100 LCD scope: www.doepfer.de/1972.htm A-100 universal AD/DA module: www.doepfer.de/A100_ADDA.htm DIY/OEM module with 64 inputs and Midi/USB output: www.doepfer.de/usb64.htm Have a nice weekend Dieter Doepfer

Hi I'm looking for some cross headed self tapping screws to attach doepfer and AS modules into a wooden rack rail - most I've found are too big to go through the holes in the modules anyone know of a UK source for these - or even a part number?? they are surprisingly difficult items to source! richard [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Richard, 2.9 mm is a standard diameter for self tapping screws and these will fit to the 3 mm mounting holes of the A-100 panels (standard sizes are e.g. 2.9 x 6.5 mm, 9.5 x 9.5 mm and 2.9 x 13 mm). It should be no problem to get these screws in a hardware store or in a specialized screw shop. Dear members, I designed a crossfader module based on Florian's suggestions. Here is the link for the preliminary info: www.doepfer.de/a138d.htm It is only a preliminary version and should be treated as as basis for discussions. From my point of view there are three possible ways: 1. A complete module similar to the suggested A-138d 2. An expansion module that has to be connected to an existing A-138 (a or b). This would be a little bit cheaper as the electronics of the A-138 can be used (but not much as the electromechanical parts remain the same and the electronics is not very expensive). For this solution the single outputs would not be available and a little bit of soldering is necessary (2 wires have to be soldered to the A-138). I don't think that this solution is meaningful. 3. same as 2. but only as a DIY project. It's very simple. Most of the work will be the front panel processing. The "electronics" is only a few resistors some potentiometers. I can publish the schematics on the A-100 DIY page. Bakis, maybe a poll will be helpful (thank you in advance ... :-). And of course ideas/improvements of the suggested A-138d. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

Hello, Me, somehow I really like the idea of extension for A138 with 5 channels... to make easy cheap 8 step sequencer with A160/161 and another A138... + Alexandre --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <hardware@...> wrote:

Alexandre, It's possible to link two A-138 to obtain a 8 channel mixer. I can add a corresponding note to the DIY page. Let me know if you are interested (one integrated circuit has to be removed and two cables have to be soldered between the two A-138). An passive expansion module for the A-138 with 5 inputs would be possible but not cheaper as the expensive mechanical parts (potentiometers, knobs, sockets, front panel) are the same. But we will "design" such a simple electronics (it will take about 30 minutes) and see if there are suffient inquiries to produce that mixer expansion. I am replying to an old thread. If anyone knows of a UK or German source for Doepfer compatible self tapping screws then please shout up they are: 2.9 mm or 2.5 mm pan head pozidrive self tapping screws (6.5mm 0r 9.5mm in length), they are also known as guage 3. all the UK shops and componant suppliers I tried now stock nothing below guage4 which is 3mm and too big for the a100 holes. Several places have told me that the guage 3 are no longer manufactured - which seems unbelievable.... but it appears to be true Richard

Hi thanks for the suggestions, but I am confused about the UK screw guages. some manufacturers list guage 4 as 3 mm which is too big for the doepfer holes and some list it as 2.9 which is fine... do any UK folks know if you bpought guage 4 or guage 3?? Richard
