Poll results for Doepfer_a100

2006-12-15 by Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com

The following Doepfer_a100 poll is now closed. Here are the
final results:

POLL QUESTION: Would you like Doepfer to release a "Mixing Expander" module that would be
used to
add 5 more inputs to A-138a/b? [It will be about 20-30% cheaper than an
A-138a/b, as no integrated circuits and no power supply are necessary
for
such a simple module]

CHOICES AND RESULTS
- Yes!, 19 votes, 67.86%
- maybe..., 4 votes, 14.29%
- No., 5 votes, 17.86%

AW: [Doepfer_a100] Poll results for Doepfer_a100

2006-12-15 by hardware@doepfer.de

Thank you for the poll. I assumed something like that ...
We already have two prototypes available (very simple) and we will start the
production in January. But we are not sure which front panel version we
should manufacture:

1. Without front panel printing. This would allow both mounting versions
(please refer to our website www.doepfer.de/a138x.htm for details). This
version would be about Euro 4-5 cheaper because of the unnecessary printing.
2. With front panel printing version 1 (sockets left, knobs right)
3. With front panel printing version 2 (knobs left, sockets right)

In any case we will start the production of the pc boards and front panels
but will still wait for the results of the printing/mounting options.

Best wishes

I can suggest a 4th option for more money of course. Screen both
sides of the frontpanel (sockets left on on one side - sockets right
on the other side). Only the mounting screw holes will be in
different places. I assume this would make it 4-5 euros more expensive.

I think I'll be happy with a version with printed front panel... I'm not sure to get the
difference with right or left buttons... right position seems OK to me...

Thank's for the suggestion. So far the front panels have a good and a bad
side. The bad side may have scratches or other faults because of the tools
used during the stamping/milling process. I dont think that it's possible to
manufacture a front panel with two "good" sides. I'll have to ask our front
panel manufacturer.
