Modification requests - A141 VCADSR and A151 Seq Switch

2006-12-20 by stuadh

Hi,

can anyone tell me how to do the following mods:

A141 - reduce the attack, delay and release values to give very fast
responses ( I find the module too slow to use).

A151 - install a switch like the new version to select 2, 3 or 4 steps.

Many thanks

Stuadh

replace the capacitor C2 (now 100uF/0.1uF, next to CA3080) by a smaller
value. E.g. 10 nF will reduce the shortest time by 10.

center terminal of the switch -> reset input via a standard diode (e.g.
1N4148), cathode (-) on reset socket
end terminal 1 of the switch -> CD4053 pin 14 (LED control for I/O 2)
end terminal 2 of the switch -> CD4053 pin 15 (LED control for I/O 3)

In addition Peter Grenader describes how to do the mod here:

http://www.buzzclick-music.com/mods.html

Note also that I think pin 14 above should in fact be pin 11.

If interested, I can take a few snaps of how I've done the mod on mine -
 it is really straightforward!

You are right. Pin 11 instead of pin 14. And the circuit is CD4052, not
CD4053. Maybe I was a bit tired ...

Here we go - I've just cobbled together a rough page at my website,
with a few less-than-perfect photos, but it gives you the idea:

(maybe my 'Christmas present to myself' will be small a tripod, to make
taking such snaps easier...)

Dieter, Tim,

thank you very much. I now have a little Christmas project.
