Hybrid between analog and digital systems synchronically

2007-01-19 by credo99muro

Hello, my friends of DOEPFER's group
This is credo99muro from Japan.
Is it also possible for "MAQ16/3" to sequence the software synthesizers of "KORE +
KOMPLETE 4" by Native Instruments synchronically? You know "MAQ16/3" is the MIDI/
Analog Sequencer by DOEPFER. Meanwhile "KORE" is the world's first fully-integrated
universal sound platform and performance environment, uniting all your software
instruments and effects into a single, intuitive interface. And "KOMPLETE 4" has 12
Native Instruments synths, samplers, effects and a guitar studio.

ciao !!

hello,
they should run in sync perfectly together synced via
midi, right?
best regards,
Bakis.

Dear Bakis,
This is credo99muro from Japan.
Thank you for your reply.
By the way, what does your following sentence of "synced via midi, right ?" mean ?
"they should run in sync perfectly together synced via midi, right ?"
ciao !!

hello,
you can syncronize the software synths of Native
intruments and the maq 16/3 via their midi interface.
meaning: the midi input of the maq 16/3 and the midi
output of the midi interface of the computer that you
are running the soft synths on. you just select one as
the master and the other as the slave. for example,
you have to set the softsynths own sequencer(or their
host sequencing programm) to output midi clock (via
the midi out of the computer's midi interface) and the
maq 16/3 to receive external sync via its own midi
input.
i cannot help any further, as i do not have the maq
16/3.
unless, you mean something else: do you want the maq
16/3 to control(sequence) the softsynths? then i guess
you can do this via the maq16/3 midi output and
sequence the softsynths via the computer's midi input.
best regards,
Bakis.

Dear Bakis,
This is credo99muro from Japan.
I appreciate your kind reply sincerely.
According to "MAQ16/3 MIDI Analog Sequencer " of the products in DOEPFER 's web
site, "external MIDI synchronization (via incoming MIDI Clock/ Start/ Stop messages) or
internal synchronization (MAQ transmits MIDI Clock/ Start/ Stop generated by the
MAQ) "
So what you've mentioned is just consistent with these "external MIDI & internal
synchronizations" there, isn't it ? That's all right !! The interactive synchronizations
between "MAQ16/3 MIDI Analog Sequencer " and "KORE + KOMPLETE 4 virtual
instruments" have been preserved via MIDI now.
ciao !!
