A-149-3?

A-149-3?

2007-03-19 by jalmari3

At the doepfer site there is no mention about the A-149-3 smooth random
voltage source. Is it still being planned? Any info about features?

Best regards

We have a prototype of the fluctuating random voltage source (with vactrols)
that is already working but no front panel so far. It is similar to the
Buchla module but has some additional features, e.g.

digital noise output (normally not available)
filtered digital noise output
"noisy triangle" output (normally not available)
separate control for triangle frequency (normally fixed to ~ 100Hz)
separate control for slew time (for the slew limiter with vactrols)
separate control for S&H clock (normally combined with the slew time
control)

We will have to put in order all the new modules which are already in the
prototype state after the Frankfurt Musikmesse - i.e. which of these modules
will be actually manufactured and in which order.

Best wishes

This is excellent addition of features, I use the 149 in most complex
patches.

In purely selfish terms I think this should be high on the list.
Also now Buchla has discontinued this from his 200e series, maybe we
can get some defectors.

I`m waiting for this module! Any suggestions when it`s gonna see daylight?

Its an amazing world, I was just wondering if Doepfer was going to make
the Fluctuating Random Source!

I am about to buy a Buchla system so I am surprised about this
discontinued SOU comment?????
I am not aware its discontinued.

The prototype circuit is ready and working, but still without front panel.
We have to complete the design, i.e. make a module from the prototype
circuit. I hope we will be able to finish it still this year - without
obligation. There are a lot of other modules in the holding pattern ...

Best wishes
