How to make the A-156 Hz/V

How to make the A-156 Hz/V

2007-05-05 by vliesgaard

Hello,

I have an Korg 800DV and I would like to sequence it with the
A-154/155/156 combo. But the A-156 only outputs V/Oct.

So how can you change the V/Oct signal into a Hz/V signal?

Thanks in advance Dirk.

103 TB 303 filter

Hi all

I cant get access to the A103 TB FILTER, just interested to know how
accurate the sound is to the TB filter???

Ross,
did you see this review from Chris Carter in your search?
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec03/articles/doepfermodules.htm

hmmm... doesn't seem like he knew what is was supposed to be doing. But,
alas, haven't tried one. And didn't look like Ingo had samples either, not
that i want a clone, but also curious about this one.

So far there is no solution available within the A-100 to obtain quantized
Hz/V control voltages. The planned universal AD/DA module will probably
include a V/Oct -> Hz/V converter. But so far we have no planned release
date for this module. I'm not if there are other suitable converters
available.

Best wishes

The AD/DA converter is on my wich list. It looks to me like a realy
cool module.

But can't the Hz/V to V/Oct be done with something like a lin to log
transformer or lin to exp transformer?

I tried this, but not with satisfying results (Hz->Oct is critical for
the bottom end; Oct->Hz is critical at the upper end)

Florian.

Yes, but such a circuit would require the same costly matched transistor
pair with temperature compensation/regulation as used in VCOs but with the
opposite function. We do not plan such a module as it is not required within
the A-100 and I do not expect reasonable quantities for such a module.
