I see what you are saying.
  However I think I did not explain the patch fully.
  I was thinking of using an A156 quantizer between the A178 and the A110.
   
  I do not know what the behavior would be if you attenuated an already quantized voltage.

In this case indeed an A-129-3 or A-138 is recommendable.

This does not make much sense (unless you want to obtain special scales) as
after the attenuation the quantized voltage is no longer quantized into
1/12V steps (i.e. semitones in 1V/octave standard) but in a fraction of the
semitone standard.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
