Dieter says:

"The last weeks were very busy because of the
end-of-the-year/Christmas sales
and the NAMM preparation. We will show some new
modules at the NAMM. Even
the A-100 CV/Gate keyboard is ready and we received
the cases two days ago.
Because of the NAMM the CV/Gate keyboards will be
available in February as
January is fully booked with NAMM. These modules will
be shown at NAMM and
will be available probably in spring 2008: A-106-6 XP
VCF, A-132-3 Dual
linear/exponential VCA, A-134-2 Dual VC Crossfader,
A-137-2 Wave Multiplier
II, A-138e Quad Three-Way Crossfader/Mixer/Polarizer
and A-189-1 Bit Cruncer
(the first derivate of the universal AD/DA module).
Preliminary information
for these modules is already available on our website
(www.doepfer.de/A100CGK.htm, www.doepfer.de/A1066.htm,

the a138e looks great. what more can you ask for than a module that's
small, has a million uses (this is a godsend for fm fetishists), can
do four of those uses at the same time and is inexpensive? much as i
love twiddling on a new filter, it's these routing modules that really
get me thinking in new directions (for me, anyway) about sound design.
hats off to dieter.

and a good christmas to the rest :)

May i ask how fast the microcontroller in this module will be? In the
past microcontrollers in doepfer modules have been rather slow
(a-154, a-112), limiting modulation of some parameters to sub-audio
range. I would strongly recommend using a fast processor to allow mod-
rates of up to several khz, even if this makes the module more
expensive....

current ad/da ICs are quite capable of mhz sample rates (high SR
would be required for aliasing free modulation of material with high
frequency components).

best,

Hi Denis,

the ADCs have 200kS/s (200kSamples/second) and in addition a digital
hardware multiplier for special calculations is available (not required for
pure bit crunching but other effects like waveshaping, digital ring
modulation and others). Consequently speed should be no problem.

Dieter

New Doepfer A100 CV Keyboard

2008-01-04 by David Bulog

Dear list
Does anyone have the ballpark retail price for this new keyboard
i was looking to buy a Roland 180 but it might be worthwhile to wait.

I assume Doepfer A100 keyboard - would drive both A100 + Roland
System 100m ?

Thank you
David

The ballpark prices are specified in the info page of the A-100CGK:
