Doepfer

I have an older power supply, probably an A-100NT12 in my original G3
case. I have considered either moving my controller modules to it or
using it for a few non Doepfer EU modules (Livewire, PlanB).

Could anyone say whether this is a bad idea or not.

I agree. I enjoy Paulo's videos, but I also appreciate the fact that this group is relatively free of gigspam, "apologies for the cross-posting", and "check out my website/netlabel/new cd-r release". There's plenty of other avenues for self-promotion available on the www. There are few options for nuts and bolts synth-talk that include considerable participation from the guy who's name is on the box. The S/N ratio on this group is very good.

Paulo, I apologize that this is directed at you. It is not personal. Feel free to add me to your mailing list, and keep the YouTube clips coming, just not at Doepfer_a100.

Hi Tommmy,

there is (nearly) nothing wrong with the old powersupply. The only 
drawbacks are:
- slight mechanical hum
- more electromagnetical induction into the spring transducers
   of an A-199 (if you have one)
- less maximum current power than the new powersupply
But there is no reason why you shouldn't use it with Audio related 
modules (whether Doepfer or not, does not matter).
