I know the following is probably an issue with my overall setup --
currently having a quesiton with cubase discussion groups. Though i
figure there most be some good midi expertise in this forum.

Still i figure i ask this forum as well.
**********************************
I'm experiencing delays with my Doepfer MAQ 16/3 during life
play/recording. There is always a very slight delay of the MIDI signal
from my Doepfer sending midi signals via the MOTU
microlite to the VST plug-in of my VIRUS TI (delay is about
1/64 or so). When I record the doepfer sequence the midi actually gets
recorded properly onto the midi track.

Also when I replay these recordings they replay on my Virus TI exact.

Seams there is some latency introduced when I play live and route
my midi signal via my MIDI hub directly to the Virus TI
vst/plug-in.

Also when I route that same Doepfer midi signal to, for example, any
Reason instruments (Thor, etc.) it plays wwithout delay (whether live
or recorded midi).

I tried the entire routine of placing the >>>ignoreportfilter<<< in
the cubase program folder (incl. disabling emulated ports), at no
avail.

Any suggestion on how to resolve this midi latency? This slight delay
effectively makes my Doepfer not usable.

Cubase 3
XP SP.2
Doeopfer MAQ 16/3
Virus TI (via vst/plugin)
MOTU Microlite
Reason 4.0
Reaktor

I'll forward a copy of this message to Christian Assall
(software@doepfer.de). He is the man behind the MAQ16/3 firmware and maybe
he knows a solution.

Best wishes
