new ideas for the up coming ...werk upgrades

hi bakis, here a few thoughts that came to me while reading the
doepfer post below. please foward them to doepfer.

We think about a new basic board for

Could you please include USB ports in the new cpu upgrade boards for
the regelwerk and schaltwerk. it would obviously help sell both
products. it will help bridge the gap between hardware and software.
think of all the laptop users that are out there. it would be a great
way for them to control their analog modular gear and their software
from a simple USB port.

the schaltwerk should remain the song and pattern machine and the
regelwerk should do patterns and midi controls. a survey of all the
midi controllers on should be done. that way you could use the best
features from all the others amalgamate into the regelwerk.

My current approach is to patch the gate outputs to the A155's
external CV jacks. I clock the A155 so that it steps every 16 notes,
playing the patterns in whatever order I want. Some of the patterns
can be patched through an A180 Multiples and inserted several places
into the song, or I can use all 8 of the gate outputs to make one long
sequence of 8 distinct patterns.

I don't have a second A155, so I can't do the same thing with the
Pitch CV outputs, but it works great for percussion parts, or with
random A156 arpeggios and scales.

But if we're telling Doepfer that we don't want song mode, I guess I
beg to differ.

very interesting use of the a155 in combination
with...the regelwerk?you mean the regelwerk,right?
