absolutely !!!  depends on your hardware available as sources / modifiers  as 
to how many voices you can patch and control via midi computer or keyboard. 
there are a few folks that have quite large, "poly patch" oriented  doepfer 
systems.
gee, only since "new ms20`s" were around ?  i`ve got you by about 10 years 
!!!!  i started with test equipment and junk tape recorders !!!!!!  :^)
