a188-2: how noisy?

a188-2: how noisy?

2008-10-19 by Stu Grimshaw

having read dieter's warning on the a188-2 bbd page, i was wondering
if anyone using one would like to share their thoughts on the module
vis a vis its noisiness?

i use the a188-1 (4096 stages) very extensively, and find that using a
filter still leaves me enough highs for standard echo use, and for
madder things the clock adds its own grittiness.

but maybe the version 2 is significantly noisier?

cheers,

stu

i have and use the a188-2 and i have not noticed any special noise problem with it, i mean more noise than the a188-1 or something...
