Hello Herr Doepfer, Here is a shortened copy of an email that I sent to your software depart. You and I briefly discussed if it would be possible to add Velocity Sensitivity to all of the MTV16/A-190-3 outputs @ Musik Messe. I know that you are busy and that tradeshows are chaotic. Thus, I thought that I'd bring it up again. --- I've been searching for a Velocity Sensitive MIDI to Trigger converter for use with my drum modules. I've been using the Analogue Solutions MT16 with my Concussor system. This is driven by a Genoqs Octopus. The Concussor modules are Trigger Voltage Sensitive and will play louder as the voltage swings between +5VDC & +12VDC. The MT16 is not velocity sensitive even though it is a great MIDI to CV converter. Mr. Doepfer had mentioned that it `might' be possible to change the firmware on the MTV16 in order to allow it to be `Velocity Sensitive' but that he'd have to check with his firmware programmer about that. I understand that getting a full +12VDC pulse out of the MTV16 may well be impossible, but having velocity sensitivity would be great as nobody else does that right now. It would make my drums much more interesting when programmed via the Genoqs Octopus. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote:

From my understanding it should be possible to modify the firmware of the MTV16 to output the velocity values of 16 Midi note messages instead of the control change messages. But you will have to pay for the firmware modification. The voltage range of the MTV16 is 0...+5V. To obtain a higher voltage an amplifier is required (e.g. the planned A-183-3). Best wishes Dieter Doepfer P.S. Please direct such correspondence directly to Christian Asall (software@dopfer.de) or me (hardware@doepfer.de) but not to the A-100 Yahoo group.
