BBD ?

BBD ?

2009-02-28 by mss_panzer

Does anyone know if Doepfer's existing BBD devices can be used as a
rotary/leslie simulator? I came across a Crumar Composer which
apparently uses a bbd circuit for the low frequency doppler effect.
The only tweakable parameters are fast/slow.

Thanks in advance.

of course you might use BBD-modules for this too. But be careful: The
BBD module alone won't sound like a leslie. You need two of them, you
need two VC-Pan, and you should also use a State Variable A121 or
Steiner Parker Filter A101-1 as frequency splitter. You also need two
LFOs. Some Slewrate limiters as LFO delay for the filters would be bad
either.
