dieter, any chance of getting a 6mm input on the planned preamps? i have so many external sound sources, each of which needs 8 units of space just to get it up to a100 level. a slimmer preamp module would be a godsend for me :)
cheers, stu
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but if Dieter could freeze the design, then we might eventually get the module. That said, if this is not an audio quality amplifier, then it's not worth the trouble, in my opinion.

The A-183-3 is planned as an amp within the A-100 or to interface to other
modular systems, but not mainly as a pre-amp for external audio signals. For
this an amplification of 4 would not be sufficient too. And the existing pc
board does not allow another type of sockets. So: no, I see no chance. But
we have economically priced cables 3.5 > 6.35 mm available.
Maybe we could design an A-183-4 which is kind of an pre-amp for external
audio signals (like microphones or guitar). But this would we be a different
design.
Best wishes

Sorry, I thought this was about the A-183-2. Please disregard.
