Trimpot on the A-198?

Trimpot on the A-198?

2009-03-12 by Argitoth

What does the trimpot on the A-198 ribbon module do? Actually, I'd
like the bottom of the ribbon controller to be 0volts, but it isn't...
so maybe the trimpot will help? Or what is it for?

It is in the 'pressure cv' part of the circuit, for trimming that. Unfortunately therefore it won't help you with the main 'position cv' output from the ribbon.

Should I mess with the trimpot for fun?

Didn't you learn ANYTHING from your VCO tweaking exercise?

Cheers,

I wouldn't. But if you want 0v at the bottom what I'd do is use a voltage mixer and mix in enough negative offset voltage to make that happen.
