A113 SUBHARMONICS GENERATOR.

A113 SUBHARMONICS GENERATOR.

2001-11-28 by synth_freak_2000@yahoo.com

hello,
does anyone in the group ,own an A113??
how does it sounds?the saw that it produces has any difference from
the saw of the a110 or a111?any thoughts...usability...i'm thinking
of buying one in the near future,so,any help is welcome.
can you change the subharmonics ,using the 2 gate inputs, from an
lfo,or a gate out from the a155??if this works,it must be really
interesting!!
thanks.

The easy thing to stay about the A113 is its like a A115 with a
serious bad additude! Much wider range, more speaker poping harmonic
content is available. The Gate 1 and Gate 2 can be controled from
A155 gates or a sqr. LFO (works best but I have others, it requires
a fairly wide duty cycle). This makes for some odd affects if the,
like a B3 going down a flight of stairs.

I does make that best bass and serious DEEP B3 organ sounds. Really
puts some teeth in the explosions. Just FUN to play with.

I should point out that the 2 gates are actuall a binary value,
00,01,10 and 11 ( 0 = no gate, 1 = gated) cause the A113 to switch
its mixture with in a preset. Each output has one divisor value (1 -
24 the divide factor). 4 divisors is a mixure, 4 mixures is a preset
of which there are 50, each preset has 4 mixtures. The gate 1 and
gate 1 allow you to change the mixure table. So in practial use I
find the 2 pairs of 160/161, of 151 to be more use to control tha
A113. That is not to say that I don't use quadture lfo sqr waves of a
A155.

The 2 inputs will not allow you to sweep the divisors from 1 - 24.
If is really like having a matrix or A115 with an extended range.

Just though I would pass on som clearifcation

Bernie
