Haken Continuum Controller for A100

Haken Continuum Controller for A100

2009-03-31 by John V. Talbert

Quick (hopefully) question to owners of the Haken Continuum controller.

I'm about to get one of these as a performance interface for my A100.
Question is: I'd like to buy it with the plain (unmarked) surface, but
I'm hearing that it's too hard to learn that way and that the marked
surface is the way to go. Anyone with experience have any opinions?

I'd definitely ask Richard Lainhart.

He plays the Haken Continuum with a Modular System (Buchla 200 as far as
I know). He is very open to the tech aspect and a very open, kind and
poilite person.

Hi John

I own a Continuum for about 2 month now (incl. the voltage converter). I opted for the marked surface as it makes it easier to play standard tunings. It does not hinder me in any way to play any other tunings. It takes a long time to learn to control all his features (I'm certainly still learning) but you can do amazing things with it right from the start. For me (I'm not a keyboard player) it's a great interface to the A100 and worse every dollar.
