Hi guys, kind of new in the world of modulation... I've got 2 suitcases with doepfer elements, and I'd like to put Ems filters of AS in it... If someone can explain me how to do it safely, he's welcome! Thanks a lot guys, and sorry for my english... Best regards Neckel.

Hi Neckel, I bought a couple of AS modules recently. AS can supply an inexpensive Doepfer-compatible cable which replaces that supplied on the module. They are in the 'Buy online' section of the AS website. An explanation sheet is included and Bob Williams at AS is also very helpful. It is stated in various places that installing an AS module in any non-AS rack invalidates the warranty. The only problem with AS modules is that they don't line up with those from Doepfer - there is a gap either side - are there any simple cosmetic solution to this? Cheers, Nick

Nick- Doepfer offers a blank panel that has the extra half HP needed to fill this gap. It is the A-100B1.5 (1 and 1/2 HP). Analogue Haven has them for $3 each. -James On May 26, 2009, at 6:43 AM, Nick Blackburn wrote: > > > Hi Neckel, > I bought a couple of AS modules recently. I used a small round file to widen any modules to fit against the ASys ones. The ASys panels are thicker, so I tend to file away the thinner doepfer and other euro modules. I wish everyone did the oblong holes like Cwejman and now Malekko, they fit well nest to any brand of module.
