This would probably be the easiest and most obvious place to start - replace that unshielded cable with some shielded or screened cable, and see how it is then.

Using good quality screened cables is a step in the right direction for the first question, for the second unfortunately I have little idea, but I'll skim the analogue troubleshooting books I have to see if they contain any ideas on such problems. I'm guessing that you're noticing it through the HP output because it's getting filtered out from the others (LP etc.)? If you can use a radio to identify the offending frequency, that information might be useful.

I've found my A-121 to be by far the least audiophile-quiet of all my 65
modules.  Often some hiss, though never with resonance cranked.

I'm interested that you report this issue only with your a-121.

(My Analogue Solutions drum modules tend to hiss a bit as well.)
