Hello I have a wish for a new super simply module: A quad decay envelope. Like the A142, but no voltage control, no gate out; simply four normalled trigger ins, four decaytime potentiometers, four envelope outputs. For my kind of stupid sequencer based dancefloor music, this would be very cool. Anyone interested Florian

A four-fold version would probably require 8 HP (4 controls + 4 LEDs + 8 sockets). Would be a nice addition to the new quad VCA A-132-4 and the planned trigger sequencer A-157. Dieter

Well I could certainly find a use for such a module, it would free up other envelopes as well. Hey that's a nice idea for a budget module! Of course it would take less space than the A142 and would cost less, but in my view it wouldn't bring any new advantages which would legitimate another version. I guess DOEPFER would use in principle the circuit of A142 for this special version but simply switch off the not needed functions of this circuit. So you would have another A142 with less knobs and less jacks. In first approximation. Ollie

Hi Oliver > So you would have another A142 with less knobs and less jacks. In first approximation. You missed the word "Quad". it would be like the difference between one A147 and the A143-3.

Sorry, I meant the A-143-1 Quad AD-Generator not the A-142 as a basic circuit. Ollie

Sheer brilliance! I'd be interested. Cheers, Adam-V --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Florian Anwander <fanwander@...> wrote:

Hi Oliver > Sorry, I meant the A-143-1 Quad AD-Generator not the A-142 as a basic circuit. The A143-1 has the triple width of my intended module! Florian

This sounds like a cool module, the quad decay. I would use it in conjunction with a quad low pass gate if I had one. I have often wished that Doepfer made a quad lo pass gate. It would not need the ability to switch modes with gates, it would not even need feedback AFAIC. All the other quad LPG modules out there have extra features or are very expensive of have *ahem* ugly panel graphics (IMO)... More wishes for you papa doepfer! -Rafael --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote:

Hi, I've been looking for such a module too. I was planing to maybe try to built one usch, but I would greatly prefer to buy it all done. IF (only IF) there's space for a switch (off/slow/fast) or a knob, it could be usefull to use it as a global attack modifier (from 0ms attack up to a small amount of maybe 200ms). Like I said IF there's place and doesn't add significantly to the cost. Otherwise take the description of Florian, it's just perfect. Hello, that sounds great. If I had one wish I would wish that this Quad module gets an integrated 'punchy envelope' feature like described here: http://www.synthesizers.com/egpunch.html Maybe with a trimmer to adjust the punch length which means a trimmer for the clipping level. That would be killer for percussive stuff and everyone could adjust the trimmer to their likings. Joachim Am 26.01.2010 um 12:21 schrieb <yahoo@doepfer.de>:

Look at our website for preliminary information: www.doepfer.de/a1424.htm If no problems occur and no modifications have to be made the module could be available ~ April/May. No poll necessary. I like the idea of this module and we will offer it in any case. I missed something like that at NAMM to show the planned trigger sequencer and the quad VCA A-132-4. Best wishes Dieter
