Suitcase with build-in A180 and A183

Suitcase with build-in A180 and A183

2010-03-12 by Joachim

Hi there,

at Muffs the following quote from Dieter catched my eye:

---Quote from Dieter---
the upper and lower bars of the A-100 suitcases have no function. Our
manufacturer told us that they are necessary for the case building
because
of the rivets that are used to hold the profiles and mounting angles.

You may install your multiples into these bars if you have the
mechanical
skills to do this job.

We already had suitcases available at the Musikmesse 2009 with multiples
(A-180) and attenuators (A-183) built into the lower bar. But the
interest
was very poor (it took 6 month to sell the prototype of the case) and
that's
why we do not offer this case type.

Is there a picture of this prototype somewhere?

I have to admit that I haven't noticed it and I can't believe this got
no attention
as the ModularWorld case (http://mwmodularworld.blogspot.com/) has a
very
ugly utility panel with 4 attenuators and 6 4-way multiples and still
sells.

Cheers
Joachim

Sorry - it has been deleted apparently as it is a dead link in the meantime
(i.e. no other page of our website includes as link to the picture). I have
transferred it again manually to our website.

I just went there and it worked for me - no problems. I just posted it to the Photos section of the Yahoo Group.

Hi,

thanks for making the picture available again.
I think it looks quite good although the labels are missing.
Looks way better than the MW case version.

Personally I would prefer a version with a 2 x 4 Multiple
(my A-180s were 1 x 8 by default) and a A-183-1, both with labelling.

But my favourite case would be a A-100PMS9 as I already have
a A-100PMB and three A-100P6.

The A-100PMS9 should then have 2 x 2x4 Multiples and 2 A-183-1
spaced evenly on the lower 'bar'.
I would then sell one A-100P6, get this A-100PMS9 and put the
remaining A-100P6s on top of it, hoping the construction would be
stable enough.

Would be nice to know if other people would like to have such a
modified A-100PMS9, too.

Cheers
Joachim

As already said: the inquiries are very poor and I don't think we will offer
this type of suitcases. It would be not problem to manufacture the suitcases
with additonal A-180 and/or A-183-1 (the additional charges will be about
the same as the A-180 and A-183-1). But if nobody is interested (OK, one
person is interested) it does not make sense ...

Best wishes
