A-112 wavetables (midi sysex dumps)

A-112 wavetables (midi sysex dumps)

2010-06-19 by amthewalrus

Does anyone have any wavetables in sysex format for the a112 they want share with the group?

does anyone know of any out there already?

Seems like it would be nice to have some standard 'PPG' , filtering and vocal type wavetables we could load over sysex.

Thanks!

No - but I am interested in whether it's a useful oscillator or not. I was thinking of switching out my A111-2 for it.

Absolutely useless for anything pitched, as far as i can work out so far, it's fiddly on a number of levels and doesn't track well. I think the only way that might work is if you used a sequencer to manually set the cv for each note, which at least bypasses any sort of tracking issues but would still leave you with quite a limited range.

Mostly just good for sample mangling, and i'm still to try it with a non-pitched sample _> envelope follower to try and make some interesting complex envelopes.

Other people might have got different results, and i really really need to spend some more time with this module, but i can't recall ever hearing anything remotely tuneful from it.
