Problem with Dark Energy

Problem with Dark Energy

2010-12-13 by deividnb1

Dear All,

I connected my dark energy to a 9V wall wart by mistake, while connecting a MIDI keyboard to the Dark Energy's wall wart. Now, the MIDI keyboard still works with its wall wart, but the dark energy does not.

My question is: what has been damaged, the dark energy or the wall wart? If I buy a new wall wart, can I use the dark energy again?

Best regards,
David

hi David,
I don't think the Dark Energy could be damaged by a 9V wall wart.

Is the LED on the DE's wart now failing to illuminate? that means it's dead.

The Dark Energy cannot be damaged by a 9V power supply but it will not work
with 9V. Please look at the FAQ page of our website concerning the right
power supply for Dark Energy:

Thanks for the help! I tried buying a compatible wall wart, but there was no luck... Is there any way to purchase the original one supplied by doepfer?

Best,
David

Of course. Please contact the Doepfer representative in your country. From your message I cannot see where you live. If there is no representative in your country you may order directly from us (sales@doepfer.de).
