I can't find the post where Dieter mentions that the finish of the P6/P9 cases is changing so can someone please tell me what the latest/current black finish is.... is it smooth or bumpy?

The surface of all suitcases and monster cases (A-100Pxx) is now grained.
The former even surface is no longer available.
