Making power cables (advice needed)

Making power cables (advice needed)

2011-01-19 by Nick

Hi all

I am reorganising The Cupboard and need some longer-than-normal power ribbon cables.

Can some kind soul point me to a page with instructions, or post a reply detailing the tools and method, please.

Cheers, Nick

Hello Nick,

your cupboard looks great.
here is a page with instructions:
http://www.thekanes.org/index.php/2010/02/07/how-to-make-a-ribbon-cable/
you don´t need a vise, i took a plier.
take a ribboncable and go to your electro supplier to get the fitting connectors and a role of cable.

hope that helps

regards

maise

Thanks for the replies, both direct and on the board.
I'll be trying my hand at it when I get the bits.
Cheers, Nick
