What ever hapened to Dark Matter, the fabeled expansion of the Dark Energy? I know it has been postponed a couple of times but I was hoping to hear something about it now when the Dark Time is all done and shipping...

The Dark Matter is still on our to-do list. But I can't say in which
sequence the planned products will be released (Dark Matter, Dark Link,
A-142-4 Quad Decay, A-192-2 CV/Gate to Midi interface, A-143-4 Quad
VCO/VCLFO, A-157 Trigger Sequencer, A-190-5 polyphonic USB/Midi-to-CV/Gate
interface, expansion board for the DIY Synth, A-100 touch keyboard, A-126-2
Frequency Shifter II, A-195-1 Pitch-to-CV/Midi/USB interface, VC Slope
Generator, Master Clock module/synced LFO, A-100 bus board V2 with some AS
connectors, A-100 miniature power supply redesign and some more).

Of course you have a lot of things cooking there. Just my little Dark Energy looks a bit lonely and needs a friend :P

what was(is?) it going to be?

Dark Matter is the name of the planned expansion unit for the Dark Energy. Exactly what it will contain is not decided yet as far as I know. But rumours (dreams) talk about an additional VCO (possibly with sub osc), multimode filter, noise, s/h, ring modulator, another EG...
Maybe mr Doepfer can shed some more light on this?
