Velleman MK107 LED kit sequencer

Velleman MK107 LED kit sequencer

2011-05-21 by Alan

Hi Group,

I was looking at this idea for making a basic CV sequencer using a cheap
Velleman MK107 LED kit (
http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2009/11/10/make-a-music-sequencer-from\
-a-6-led-kit/
<http://www.synthtopia.com/content/2009/11/10/make-a-music-sequencer-fro\
m-a-6-led-kit/> ) and wondered whether this would work with a Doepfer
system. Has anyone here tried it? I also wondered if it might be
possible to power such a thing from my Doepfer busboard and mount it in
my rack.

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Alan

Oh, and there's a picture of it in use by David from PostModular here (you can see the 9V battery dangling down the back!!):

Thanks very much for this Richard, I'll definitely have a stab at making one. Your rig looks mighty impressive and the way you've designed the sequencer fits in with it is very neat. I prefer this as it doesn't unnecessarily hog any rack space.

I had a good look around your blog too. Some incredible 3D modeling going on there. I'd like to see some of those casing ideas made real.

However, no sound files!? Do you have anything on Soundcloud? I'd love to hear what that set up can produce.

Cheers,
Alan
